Sean Hughes Sean Hughes is a UK comedian who first caught my interest when I heard him on the Triple J afternoon show a few years back. I quickly devoured as much of his work as I could get my hands on (basically books and info off the internet) and have been a fan (and also developed a bit of an addiction to Morrissey) ever since. Unfortunately I missed his last Brisbane show, but I'm hoping there'll be a 'next time'. I've put some of my favourite bits and pieces of Sean's writing up on these pages - hopefully you'll enjoy them as much as I did. For more info on Sean go to the official web site |

You are more than a ray of sunshine
I, a leafless tree, you an evergreen I tramp off the beaten path in your forest, You are the glimpse of the moon I seek a shiny reflection on the water's skin, you walk hand in hand with the stars. I can pretend all I like. The most romantic thing I can say to you is, you're the one I want to have problems with. -"How I Feel", Sean Hughes 1993 |
